Since 1939, we have served as a central hub for local producers to network, advocate for agricultural interests, and provide financial support to the next generation of farmers and ranchers through 4-H and FFA.nt
Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting our mission—you don’t have to own a large ranch to join! You can sign up or renew your membership directly through our website on the “Membership” page. Dues help fund our youth programs, producer education events, and community advocacy efforts.
We offer the Young Farmers & Ranchers Grant, designed to help beginning producers (youth and adult) launch or improve their agricultural business. Funds can be used for things like purchasing livestock, upgrading equipment, or improving infrastructure. Applications typically open in the summer—check our “Grants” page for the current cycle’s deadlines.
Yes. We offer scholarships to active Lane County 4-H and FFA members who are graduating high school and pursuing higher education or trade school. We also have the Youth Producer of the Year award. Detailed criteria and application windows for both can be found in our “Scholarships & Awards” section.
Our Annual Banquet is held every winter, usually in February. It is our biggest social event of the year, featuring dinner, an auction, and an awards ceremony to honor our community’s top producers. Tickets go on sale a few weeks prior to the event; keep an eye on our “Events” page or Facebook for announcements.
While we are a separate organization from 4-H and FFA, we are their biggest cheerleaders. We provide direct financial sponsorship for their programs, offer awards for outstanding members, and purchase market animals at the annual Lane County Youth Livestock Auction to ensure hard-working kids are rewarded for their efforts.
Absolutely. Many of our members are local business owners and community members who simply value local agriculture. You can support us by becoming a member, sponsoring a trophy, donating to our scholarship fund, or attending our annual fundraising banquet.
